Originally developed for players with disabilities, wheelchair floorball is played with the exact same rules as ‘regular’ floorball. Players use the same stick and ball, and goal tenders are also allowed to play.
The first ever IFF-sanctioned wheelchair floorball matches were played between the men’s teams of the Czech Republic and Sweden during the 2008 Men’s World Floorball Championships in Praque, Czech Republic.

Another site of interest is The Wheelchair Hockey League (WCHL) of Michigan which was created for the enjoyment of participating in hockey. The purpose of this league is to provide an appropriate means for persons in wheelchairs to have the opportunity to play in a competitive floor hockey league and have the chance to engage in the camaraderie and excitement of the sport. The League includes players in electric and manual wheelchairs. www.thewchl.com
